Let’s Go To ... Oxia Colles, a heavily cratered area west of the famous Mawrth Vallis. This area was chosen as the official landing site for the upcoming Rosalind Franklin rover mission because of the age of the terrain (approximately 4 billion years old) and its large abundance of clay-bearing rocks, which may preserve biosignatures of past microbial life, if it ever existed on Mars.

In the view of Derek the Stargazer ... when I hold this mug, it feels like I have something precious in my hands, something that was picked up from the surface of another planet (!) and transported across the vast expanse of space solely for my benefit and enjoyment. Remember, this is a smaller mug with an 11 oz capacity, close to the capacity of a Starbucks “Tall” drink. This mug is dishwasher safe, but I recommend hand washing whenever possible to preserve the priceless Martian snapshot for the longest possible time. It is also microwave safe.
