NGC 346 is an open star cluster and associated nebula located 210,000 light years away in a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way. The brilliant, young stars in the cluster bombard the surrounding gas with ultraviolet light, ionizing it to produce the gleaming, pink cloud seen in this gorgeous art mug.
